COMMISSION ON SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH A Conceptual Framework for Action on the Social Determinants of Health

The principal writers were Orielle Solar and Alec Irwin. Valuable input to the original draft was provided by other members of the Commission secretariat, in particular Jeanette Vega. In the course of discussions in Cairo, Commissioners and the Chair contributed substantive insights. Commissioners recommended the preparation of a revised draft paper, which was completed in January 2007. It is planned that the current version of the paper will be submitted to CSDH Commissioners at their June 2007 meeting in Vancouver. In addition to the Chair and Commissioners of the CSDH, many colleagues have offered valuable comments and suggestions in the course of the revision process.
